Silently shouting. I think that graphic design is so powerful because people aren't as skeptical of it as they are of other types of communication.If people were as consciously aware of visual language as they are of written/spoken language it might be a different story.
I guess another way of saying it is, you can read what an article says, but how that article is presented will determine whether or not the reader believes it.
